PROFILE

Giovanni Fabris, founder and president of Welldom, is a philosopher of the concept of ideal living following the principle of "kalos kai agathos", ethics and aesthetics applied to construction, with the mission to build houses maximizing aesthetic, functionaliy and well-being, according to the principles of sustainability, green building and energy conservation. Houses tailored as a handmade dress, to be worn, lived, with maximum comfort, thanks to the use of materials and natural fibers for a timeless elegance. Years of work and research in contact with the best craftsmen - artists of wood, iron, stone, glass – thanks to his love for details and its technical knowledge of all types of materials. It is thanks to the successful collaboration with the genius and friend Gabriele Cattarin, sculptor and former student of Salvador Dali, that Fabris developed a refined artistic sense of proportion and harmony of the volumes, which drives him to create works which are unique. Its sustainability influences derives from his experience in Germany, in contact with the cultural circles of Freiburg, pioneers of green building and sustainable living. Different experiences in construction in South Tyrol, in search of the perfect house and what brings man to the serenity and fulfillment, drove Giovanni to the strong convincement that life should be ethical to lead to happiness. Pioneer of sustainable luxury living, in 2011 Giovanni Fabris was elected to the Board of Executives of GBC Italia (Green Building Council Italy) for which is the driver of a series of innovative projects including the drafting of a first international protocol (GBC Historic Building) for the conservation of historic buildings according to principles that can reduce the energy consumption of up to 90%. In 2012, he won the 'Premio Impresa City - maker of Ideas 2012'. In 2014, He was awarded, with 'Cà Spineda 1560' project, the ReBuild2014 for the best renovation in Italy. In 2015, He was awarded, with 'BioCasa_82' project, the GBC Italian Awards.
