BREEAM Awards 2015 were unveiled the Award ceremony last night.
An independent judging panel of eminent industry figures, chaired by Alan Yates, sustainability technical director of BREEAM, including architect Bill Gething, Claudine Blamey of The Crown Estate, Alan Cole of the Home Office, Mike Smith of BSRIA, Louise Sunderland of the UK Green Building Council and Thomas Lane of Ecobuild and Building Magazine, have selected the winners among a shortlist of extraordinary and inspirational buildings that are setting the standards for sustainability in the design, construction, refurbishment and management of our built environment.

And the winners for the BREEAM AWARDS 2015 edition are:

Brandon Primary School in Durham, for providing a sustainable and safe educational environment.

Fornebu S, in Oslo, which has reclaimed a brownfield site for nature and the community
RETAIL REFURBISHEMNT & FIT-OUT -Winner
107-109 Charing Cross Road in London, for a successful completion of a complex refurb with staff wellbeing at core
INDUSTRIAL – Winner
Armstrong Point in Wigan, for engaging tenants and for encouraging them to become more sustainable and to report reduced running costs.
HEALTHCARE – Winner
Dumfries & Galloway Acute Mental Health Unit, for succeeding in creating a naturally ventilated and low carbon design.
YOUR BREEAM AWARD 2015
The public was called to vote its preferred BREEAM project from a list of the highest scores in each awards category. The award goes to Fornebu S, in Oslo, also winner of the Retail New Construction category. Congratulations for the double score!
