Google has recently announced that the new €600 million data center Google planned in Eemshaven in the Netherlands will be 100% powered by renewable energy from its first day of operation.
The statement was released on Google’s Green Blog.
Thanks to a new long-term agreement signed with Dutch power company Eneco, Google’s data center will be served by a new Eneco windfarm -- currently under construction at Delfzijl, near Eemshaven – starting from the first half of 2016.
