LEED v3 BD+C (NC) Italia Platinum
“The multifunctional centre of children” of the foundation O.A.S.I of San Bonifacio consist of a nursery newly built and consist of a preschool: it is reported for his happy insertion in the urban contest, also thanks of its pavilions shape, that it was able to reconstruct and enhance the original statements of the existing preschool demolished for security needs, comfort and to improve the energy performance.
The result was a "return" to the urban fabric of an architectural element identitary also thanks to the revival of the original arrangement in masonry of the main facade, attached to the all-wood structure of the new school.
The nursery was built in 3 month, the preschool in 4 month; the excellent performance with low environmental impact have earned to the building the LEED Platinum level protocol (the maximum) and the Sustainability Award 2015 AESS.
This action was an example that it was able to assume the model role, of modus operandi through the application of design methodology and the realization direct to offer a result of high quality and sustainability through the architectural and technological innovation but also to the management and use; it is wanted to define, thanks to the activities that take place in it, as a training workshop for new generations aimed to knowledge of a responsible and environmentally friendly building.
