BNDES Bank's Main Building in the Center of Rio de Janeiro

VCA was hired for the consultancy and BREEAM certification for sustainability for the BNDES bank's headquarter in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The certification achieved, BREEAM In-Use, was the first one ever done in Brazil. During this job, we were able to punctuate sustainable characteristics present in the building, in it's use, as well as it's operation and maintenance. Our company, VCA, was able to diagnose certification criteria with potential impacts on the environment, on the economy and society. In addition, we suggested options for reduction and mitigation of waste, water and energy.
